The Nicomachean Ethics is considered one of Aristotle’s most mature and important works and is one of the most important and fundamental works of Western philosophy. For Aristotle, all human actions are done for some end, that is, for some purpose which is happiness – the highest of all goods. According to the philosopher, the attainment of bliss can only exist when man is virtuous.
