Let’s play ΒΟΟΜWHACKERS is addressed to educators of all levels, nursery and kindergarten teachers, musicians, parents, organisers of team building activities, as an initial contact with Boomwhackers (BW).
Boomwhackers are the easiest, handiest and most enjoyable musical equipment for day care centres, kindergartens, schools, elementary music classes, conservatories, teacher training schools, vocational training institutions, language schools.
The tunes suggested are simple, easy, clear, and can be played by anyone, of any age. They constitute a pioneering teaching method, using a combination of boomwhackers and English. All the songs are in English.
To play the songs in this book you need at least one diatonic set of boomwhackers (BW), constituting a full C Major scale. Hand out the BW and have the children form a circle or semicircle.
Start each song by clapping out the rhythm. First come the rhythmic values and then the notes. Once the children have learned to clap the rhythm and sing the notes, add the words, and lastly the ΒW. Each child is usually given two BW, starting with the two notes G (Sol) and E (Mi). The other notes are then added gradually, in step with the child’s progress.
