The "Immortals" is a series designed for use by students of English Language Schools and Intistutes and its aim is to provide attractive reading material for students of all ages.
The books of the "Immortals" series tell the stories of mythology and history in such a manner as to make them a source of entertainment.



These books are not study but a relaxation from study; however, at the same time, they impart a knowledge of an important branch of education This knowledge is indispensable to readers of literature abounds in allusions to stories of the Greek mythology.



Naturally, these stories require some previous knowledge of the religion of the ancient Greeks, their world and their idea of the structure of the universe. One who has no such knowledge will never understand Codrus sacrifice, Achilles' savagery, the hatred Hera or the gods' interest in the Trojan war.



We have endeavored to tell the stories correctly according to the available ancient sources, but in a couple of cases, we took the liberty to deviate slighly from the strict fact for the shake of making the stories more attractive.
