Εκδ. Μουσείο Μπενάκη και Υπουργείο Αιγαίου. First published in 1972, the book is a collection of photographs made in isolated areas of rural Greece in the early 1960s. The book won awards at the Leipzig Book Affair and at Arles, and has become a sought-after classic. Photographs from the book were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Biblioteque Nationale in Paris, and work from the book is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
